What It Is
the Quick Edit feature allows a page or post's meta information from one convenient panel.
How To Use It
From the Pages or Posts screen, hover under the title, then click Quick Edit
From this panel, the following options can be edited without the need to click into each individual item:
Title: The visible title of the page / post
Slug: The URL that's used to display the page / post
Date: The date the page / post was published
Author: What user wrote the page / post
Password / Private: Select whether the page / post should be protected by a single password or marked as private, where only users who are logged in to the site can view it.
SEO Title: The optimized title of the page / post. These are a major factor in helping search engines understand what your page is about, and they are the first impression many people have of your page. Title tags are used in three key places: (1) search engine results pages (SERPs), (2) web browsers, and (3) social networks. Categories: Select which categories does the post belongs in.
Tags: Select which tags apply to the post.
Comments: Select whether to allow users to leave comments on the page / post.
Pings: Allow notification when another site links to this page / post.
Status: Select whether the page / post should be published live on the site.
Sticky: Regardless of date, keep the post at the top of the archive.
