You can make your website accessible to all users per ADA compliance requirements by adding the Userway widget to your website. The Userway widget appears as an icon on the corner of the website, which includes several options for users to modify your website to suit them.

Creating a Userway widget

To add a helpful accessibility tool to your website, navigate to userway.org and click on the Get the widget button at the top and follow the instructions to get the script for a specific website.

1. Enter the full URL of the website.
   Important Note: If you see a notice stating "Hey - it looks like your site is built with WordPress!" you can disregard. There is no need to use the WordPress plug-in for Userway functionality. The script embed process outlined below will produce the same functionality without the need to install a plug-in.
   
2. Agree to the  EULA , Terms of Service , Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and click Next.
3. Enter first name, last name, and email address, then click Next.
4. Select the icon, icon size, and icon color, and icon position to display on the website. Made your selections and click Next after each step.
   Important Note: When adding these settings for websites that display the Top Rated Local (TRL) badge on their website, be sure to check the existing position of the TRL badge before making a selection. If the TRL badge and Userway widget are set to display in the same corner, users will not be able to use either!
5. Select Auto-Detect Language from the drop down menu and click Next.
6. Does your website already have an accessibility statement? Select No/I don't know and click Next.
7. Are you interested in a white label or custom branded version of the widget? Select Not at this time and click Next.
8. Copy the Basic Script option. 

Adding the Userway Widget to Websites and Apps

Google Tag Manager

1. In the site's Google Tag Manager account, Paste the script to a new tag titled Userway Accessibility Widget and include an All Pages trigger.
2. Click Verify.
   Important Note: If you see a response that states "We can't see the script on your site", double-check that the widget is displaying on the site via Google Tag Manager and click Verify Again.

WordPress and Woo360® sites

1. To add the widget to a standard WordPress or Woo360 site without using Google Tag Manager, paste the script directly before the tag near the bottom of the active theme's footer (footer.php)

Websites 360® sites

To add the widget to a Websites 360® site without using Google Tag Manager, paste the script in the Head JS of the website. 

1. Select the Developer tab at the top of the Websites app.
2. Click on Head JS on the left-hand sidebar.
3. Paste the script on the first available line, then click SAVE at the top of the page.

Adding an Accessibility Statement page

After verifying that the widget is properly displaying on the site, Userway will provide you with a free accessibility statement to include on the website if you selected 'No' in step 6 above. to add this new page:

1. Copy / paste the content to a new page. Feel free to allow the client to customize it as they see fit to ensure it accurately reflects their business's accessibility efforts.
2. Remember to link to it from your site's navigation menu or footer.

The resulting widget

The widget will appear as a floating icon on your website. The example below shows the icon at the bottom-right corner of the page.

Once the icon is clicked, a menu will appear with multiple options to modify the website's content based on the user's needs. Depending on the settings selected during the set-up process, the resulting widget will look similar to the one shown below.
