Add and Edit a Sitewide Sidebar

A sidebar is a narrow vertical content area that is located alongside the main display area, which appears on every page on your website. 

• Turn sidebar on or off
• Add content blocks to the sidebar
• Style your sidebar

To access your Sidebar:

1. Select the Pages tab at the top of your Websites app.
2. On the right-hand sidebar, under Global Content, click on Footer.

You can turn your sidebar on or off by toggling the Visibility option under Settings on the right-hand sidebar. 

 

Add content blocks to your sidebar

Certain content blocks are not available within the footer. Note: if you don't add any content blocks to a sidebar marked "visible", then your site's content will be shifted to the left. If you don't wish to use a sidebar, turn off its visibility using the steps above.

To see what content blocks are available:

1. Click the (+) button located below each existing content block.
   
2. The menu will expand to show all content blocks available on the sidebar.
   

Style your sidebar

To edit the appearance of the content blocks in your sidebar, click Design this content at the top of the page. You will be taken to the Design panel, where you can edit the content block's design settings. Note: this link will not activate until you add at least one content block.
