Create a Mockup URL on a Websites 360® Site

If you are building a website on behalf of someone else on the Websites 360® platform, then you can share the website before completion by creating a Mockup URL. This is a subdomain which can be used to view a website before it is published live on a domain.

Add a mockup URL

  1. Select the Settings tab at the top of your Websites app.
  2. Select Domains on the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click Add Subdomain at the top of the page.

  4. Enter the name that you'd like to use for the Mockup URL - in most cases, you would enter the business name or website name. It will have .mywebsites360.com automatically appended at the end.
Note: If the subdomain is already in use on another Websites 360® site, then you'll see a message saying "This domain name is not available".
Select Set as Primary and click Activate Domains.

  5. Refresh your browser window, then verify that the URL shows as "Resolved".

  6. Click the Publish button at the top of the page.
