Create a Privacy Policy/Terms of Service Page

Create a Privacy Policy/Terms of Service Page

Depending on how you collect user data, you may need a Privacy Policy or Terms of Service page. These pages are typically not in your main navigation but are linked in your website's Footer so they're accessible from every page.

Note: You are responsible for all legal aspects of your website. Marketing 360® cannot provide legal advice or the wording for these pages. We recommend consulting a lawyer or legal expert for help with the content.

There are three main steps to add these pages and their links to your site:

  1. Create a new page.

  2. Remove it from your main navigation.

  3. Add links to it in your website's footer.

1. Create the New Page

  1. Select the Pages tab.

  2. Click the + Add A Page button.

  3. Check the box for Generic, then click Add.

  4. A new page titled "Generic" will appear. Click on it to change the title and add a Text block for your content.

2. Remove the Page from Navigation

You don't want a Privacy Policy or Terms of Service page to appear in your main navigation bar.

  • On the right-hand side of the page, under Settings, turn off the blue button labeled Show In Navigation.

This step adds a hyperlink in your website's footer that links to the new page.

  1. Select the Pages tab.

  2. On the right-hand sidebar, under Global Content, click Footer.

  3. Add a new Text block by clicking the (+) button.

  4. In the text block, type the text you want to hyperlink, then highlight it. Click the "Insert Link" icon.

  5. In the empty text box, find your new page from the drop-down menu and select it.

  6. Click the Add button. A blue check mark will appear when your changes are saved.

If you have multiple pages, you can add them to the same text block, often separated by a vertical bar (|).

After you've added the links, you can rearrange the items in your footer as needed.
