You can easily add a blog to your website. The Blog page type on Websites 360® includes a pre-built content block. This block helps you create and format your blog posts quickly.
Follow these steps to build your main blog page:
Select the Pages tab at the top of the Websites app.
Click the + Add A Page button near the top of the screen.
Check the box next to the Blog page type.
Click Add to confirm your choice.
A new page named "Blog" will appear at the bottom of your pages list.
Follow these steps to publish a new post:
Open your Blog page from the Pages tab.
Scroll down to the Posts block and click the Add New Post button.
Enter your post details on the next page. You can add a Title, Date, Author, Description (the main text), and a thumbnail Image.
Add extra features by clicking the (+) icon. This allows you to insert different types of content blocks.
Click the Publish button at the top of your dashboard to make your post live.
You can save time by duplicating an existing post. This feature copies the styling, formatting, and layout so you do not have to start from scratch.
Choose one of the two methods below to copy a post:
Method A (From the main blog page): Find your post in the list and click the Duplicate icon.
Method B (From a specific blog post): Scroll to the bottom of the specific blog post page and click Duplicate Post.
After copying, the new post will appear at the top of your Posts list. The word (Copy) will appear at the end of the title.
The system copies all text, images, and SEO data to the new post. You must change this information before publishing. Search engines punish websites that use duplicate content.
Update the following three areas:
Change all on-page text and images to match your new topic.
Note: Editing text in the Content panel will not alter your layout or design settings.
Open the SEO & Sharing section on the right-hand sidebar.
Enter a unique Title Tag, Description, and Canonical URL for your new post.
Click the Facebook and Twitter tabs inside the SEO & Sharing sidebar.
Update the custom titles, descriptions, and images so they match your new post.
You can control how many posts display on a single page.
Go to your Blog page and locate the Posts block.
Click the Posts per page field.
Select the maximum number of posts you want to show at one time.
An RSS (Rich Site Summary) feed sends your new content directly to your readers. It helps your audience follow your blog updates easily.
Navigate to your Blog page.
Find the Posts block.
Switch the RSS feed toggle to ON.
