Manage Сustomer Store Accounts

When a customer makes their first purchase, your online store automatically creates a customer account for their email address. Customers can log in to their account at any time using a personal sign-in link sent to their inbox, so they never need to remember a password.

Customer accounts give your customers several benefits:

  • Faster checkout

  • Access to their order history and status

  • A list of their favorite products (a wishlist)

  • The ability to specify a VAT ID

  • Access to special member discounts

  • The ability to view and download invoices


Enabling and Disabling the Sign-in Option

You can choose whether or not to show the Sign In link on your storefront. If enabled, customers can find the link in the store's footer to register or log in.

To enable or disable the Sign In link:

  1. From your store admin, go to Design.

  2. Scroll down to Storefront navigation & colors.

  3. Under the Sign In option, select Show or Do not Show.


Signing in to Customer Accounts

Customers can find a Sign In link at the bottom of every page on your storefront.

To log in as a customer:

  1. On the storefront, click Sign In.

  2. Enter the email address for the account and click Get Sign-In Link.

  3. The customer will receive an email with a personal sign-in link. They must click this link to be taken back to your store website.

Note: This link can only be used once and is valid for 14 days.

After signing in, a My Account section and a Sign Out option will appear at the bottom of every page. Customers stay signed in until they click the Sign Out link or start using a different browser or device.


Changing the Sign-in Icon Location

If you've added your online store to an existing site, you may want to display a "My Account" or "Sign Up/In" link in your site's header or navigation.

To create a custom "My Account" link, the URL should point to: http://PATH-TO-STORE/account/settings

  • Replace PATH-TO-STORE with the actual domain of the website page where you added your online store.

  • Then, add a custom link to the desired place on your website.


Viewing Favorite Products (Wishlists)

Customers can add items to their favorites from your online store. To view their wishlist, they can go to their My Account page and click View favorites. All of the products they've marked as favorites will be displayed on this page.
