Pinterest offers two ways to establish a business presence: creating a new, separate account or converting an existing personal account. Business accounts are governed by the Pinterest’s Business Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Note for Employees/Agencies: When signing up, use your professional email and own name rather than the business name. This helps the account owner verify your access.
This method is recommended if you want a clean separation from any personal Pinterest use. The email address you use must not already be tied to an existing Pinterest account.
Go to pinterest.com and click Sign up at the top-right of your screen (you may need to log out of any existing personal account first).
Click Create a business account.
Enter your Email, Create a password, and enter your Age.
Click Create account.
Fill out the fields to Build your profile (Name, Language, Country/Region), then click Next.
Fill out the fields to Describe your business (Focus, Type), then click Next.
Select whether you want to run ads, then click Next.
Select where you'd like to start, or click the x icon to go to your new Pinterest business account homepage.
You can switch your existing personal account to a business account, keeping your Pins and followers intact.
Important: Business accounts are public. If your personal account is private, it must be switched to public before conversion.
Log in to your personal Pinterest account.
Click the more-options-refresh icon (usually three dots or a menu icon) at the bottom left of your screen.
Select Settings.
Click Account management on the left side of the screen.
Find the Convert to a business account option, then click Convert account.
Click Convert account again to confirm.
Fill out the fields to Build your profile, then click Next.
Fill out the fields to Describe your business, then click Next.
Select whether you want to run ads, then click Next.
