Traffic Source Tracking in CRM

Traffic Source Tracking in CRM

What is the Traffic Source Section?

The Traffic Source section on your CRM Lead and Contact Profiles is where you can view where your contact or lead came from. This can help you determine which marketing channels, campaigns, and ads are most effective at driving conversions.

How It Works

When a visitor arrives on your website and submits a Marketing 360® Form, our system automatically captures the UTM parameters from the page URL they came from.

These parameters contain key details about the traffic, such as:

  • The original source (e.g., Google, Facebook)

  • The medium (e.g., CPC, email)

  • The specific campaign name (e.g., Holiday Promo)

What Data Is Tracked?

The system will capture and display the following supported data fields:

  • Channel (utm_channel)

  • Source (utm_source)

  • Medium (utm_medium)

  • Campaign (utm_campaign)

  • Campaign ID (utm_id)

  • Ad Content (utm_content)

  • Keyword/Term (utm_term)

  • Google Click ID (gclid)

  • Facebook Click ID (fbclid)

Note: The traffic source section only appears when we detect utm data for the contact or lead.
