See the attached flow chart for a visual guide to this process!!

Or, continue through the step-by-step directions below.

Step one:

Go to https://www.topratedlocal.com/ and click on Sign Up

Step two:

Click "Yes, I'd like to manage my business"

Step three:

Follow the orange CTA in Powered by Marketing 360® to Create your FREE account on 3.0

Step four:

Create a Marketing 360® account with a masked version of your email. Take your first.last@madwire.com and add a plus sign and then M# for the company you are creating as part of your email. This keeps the integrity of your first.last@madiwre.com email for account verification, but creates a new user email in the Marketing 360 system.

Example: lauren.meeker+M98765@madwire.com should be the email to create the new account.

Step five:

Check your email. Verify the account creation and log into 3.0 with the masked email (+M#####) and password you just created.

Step six:

Follow the "Get Started" CTA from the Marketing 360® dashboard or use the setup wizard within the Reputation product.

Step seven:

Start by searching for the city in which the business is located. Then, search to see if the business is already listed on topratedlocal.com

If it is listed and you need to claim it, skip to step eight now.

If it is listed and already claimed, you cannot select it in 3.0. Skip to step nine to submit the IT ticket with some different information.

Otherwise, create a new profile by filling out the business information fields required.

Step eight:

If you select an existing Top Rated Local listing (not claimed) and need to Claim the business for the owner, you will be prompted with a verification page. Click the "Submit Documentation" option. You don't have to submit any documentation (that will funnel you to the Austin Customer Success team). Indicate that the account needs to be verified in the IT ticket in step nine.

Step nine:

Send an IT ticket to merge the location you just created with the M# account and bypass the verification.

IT ticket details depending on the situation:

Creating a brand new account and location (no previous TRL association)

  • Title/Subject: "Merge free TRL account with M# account in 3.0"
  • Provide the A1AN number for the account you just created
  • Provide the M# for the account you want it to exist within
  • Provide the client's business name for clarity
  • Example for a brand new account and listing: Please merge "A1AN4757675e2a1b07b7fb6" with M98765 for Marketing 360 Launch Managers in 3.0

Creating a new account with an existing, un-claimed TRL location (need to verify and claim)

  • Title/Subject: "Merge free TRL account with M# account in 3.0"
  • Provide the A1AN number for the account you just created
  • Provide the M# for the account you want it to exist within
  • Note it is an existing listing that must be claimed and verified (step eight)
  • Provide the client's business name for clarity
  • Example to claim existing listing: Please merge "A1AN4757675e2a1b07b7fb6" with M98765 for Marketing 360 Launch Managers in 3.0. This was an existing listing. Please mark the listing as Claimed and Verified.

Creating a new account with an existing, claimed location (cannot be selected from the drop down at all)

  • Title/Subject: "Merge free TRL account with M# account in 3.0"
  • Provide the A1AN number for the account you just created
  • Provide the M# for the account you want it to exist within
  • Note it is an existing, claimed listing that must be connected to this account. Include the TRL business ID for the claimed location(s).
  • Provide the client's business name for clarity
  • Example to associate an already-claimed listing: Please merge "A1AN4757675e2a1b07b7fb6" with M98765 for Marketing 360 Launch Managers in 3.0. This was an existing, claimed listing. Please associate this TRL location: "Business ID" and complete the setup wizard for the M# account.

Step ten:

SWAT will merge the free listing in to the M# listing. SWAT will also confirm that the account is valid and allow the users to bypass the verification process to access the product.

More details for SWAT process:

  1. Support receives the ticket and inputs the info into this shared sheet.
  2. Lauren checks if the account has an existing/claimed location that needs to be merged (should include "This was an existing listing. Please mark the listing as Claimed and Verified." in the original IT ticket). This is done by the TRL engineers. If it is an existing location, she adds a check box in the "Marked Verified/Claimed" column and creates a jira ticket with the info.
  3. Gerk merges the A1 into the M# and marks the "Merge Complete" box when it's done. Otherwise, he makes a comment to the side if it cannot be merged for some reason.
  4. If it needs to go to the TRL engineers after Gerk, Lauren submits the jira issue into the current sprint for the engineers.
  5. Support can finish the ticket w/ the person who submitted the ticket after the relevant check boxes are complete in the sheet.
