From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.
Open the product you want to edit.
Go to the Options tab and click +Add New Option.
Enter a name for the option (e.g., "Size").
Select an input type from the drop-down menu. Radio Buttons work well for sizes.
Click +Add New Value and enter all the available values (e.g., "Small," "Medium," "Large").
Choose a Default option or check the box for Do not preselect default value.
Save your changes.
You can repeat these steps to add more options, such as "Color."
You can use different option types to make it easier for customers to select what they want:
Drop-down list: Best for a compact view with many choices.
Radio-buttons: Good for a short list of options where the customer can only select one.
Checkboxes: Allows customers to select multiple options at once, like pizza toppings.
Date Picker: A pop-up calendar for selecting a date.
Text Field and Text Area: Lets customers type in custom text for product personalization.
Upload file: Allows customers to attach files to their order.
You can choose whether or not to preselect a default value for drop-down lists and radio buttons.
If you do not preselect a default value, the customer must select an option before they can add the product to their cart.
If you do preselect a default value, it will be automatically selected for faster checkout.
Price modifiers let you increase or decrease the base product price based on the selected options. For example, a "Medium" T-shirt might be $10, but a "Large" T-shirt could be $12.
You can assign price modifiers to drop-down, checkbox, and radio-button options.
To add a price modifier:
From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products and open the product you want to edit.
Go to the Options tab.
Choose how the price modifier should adjust the price.
Select whether the modification is an absolute amount or a percentage.
Set the amount.
Save the changes.
When a customer selects an option with a price modifier, the price will update immediately on the product page.
Note: Product options can change the price, but they don't have their own quantity or SKU. To track the inventory of product options, we recommend using Product Variations.
