Approve Social Posts Before Publishing

Learn how to set up content approvals for social media posts. This guide covers how to create an approval link for a specific set of posts and how to require approval for all new posts.



If you create social posts on behalf of another user, you can create a unique link for them to review and approve content before it's published.

  1. Click the Create tab at the top of the page.

  2. Select Approvals at the top of the dashboard.

  3. Click + New Approval.

  4. Give the approval a Title.

  5. Click Select Content to choose which social posts you want to include in the link.

  6. Select each post you want to include, then click Add Items in the bottom-right corner. You can also select all content at once.

    (Optional) Toggle on Internal Approval to send notifications to the user about all activity on the approval.

  7. Click Create Approval.

The approval will now be listed on the Approvals page. Click the gear icon next to it to copy the unique URL, which you can then send to the reviewer.



How to Require Approvals for All New Posts

You can automatically require all new social posts to be approved before they are published.

  1. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

  2. Select Publishing at the top of the Settings dashboard.

  3. Turn on the setting labeled Require Content Approvals.



How to Require Approval for an Individual Post

You can also set the approval requirement for a single post.

  1. Click the Create tab at the top of the page.

  2. Select + Create Content to start a new social post.

  3. On the creation window, scroll down to the Content Settings section.

  4. Turn on the Require Approval setting for that specific post.
