Social Settings Overview

The Settings tab in the Social app is where you can manage account connections, brand settings, publishing settings, notifications, conversion tracking, and integrations for social posting.

 

Linked Accounts

The Linked Accounts tab is where you can add and manage the social media platforms linked to your account. More information on how to link social accounts.

 

On the Linked Accounts page, you can perform the following functions in each column:

Status Account Info Publishing Settings
Determined whether platform credentials are currently valid (denoted by a green checkmark). Shows the account name and profile picture that is linked. The "Default" account for each social platform will be noted here.

Some platforms don't support direct publishing and require sending you an email.

Some platforms require you to refresh the credentials on a regular basis. Click Refresh Credentials to authenticate the account before it expires. 

Click the "gear" icon to manage the following settings:

  • Set or remove an account as the "Default" account for its respective social platform
  • Sync the account
  • Rename the account
  • Unlink the account from the Social app

 

Brand Settings

The Brand Settings tab lets you configure the settings for your brand, which will affect all of your social accounts tied to the Social app.

 

This page has the following settings:

Account ID Your Social app's unique ID, used for troubleshooting social post issues. You can display the ID by clicking Show.
Brand Name The brand name associated with your organization. Click on the name to change it.
Brand Logo Paste the direct URL for the image file you would like to use for your brand's logo.
Brand Website Paste the URL for your website. We use your website to create better suggestions and more curated content.
Timezone The time zone to use when scheduling social posts. Click on the time zone to change it.
   

 

Publishing

The Publishing tab has settings related to publishing your social posts.

 

General

 

Recycle Posts by Default If enabled, new content will be recycled by default. If turned off, you can still recycle posts on a per-content basis. More about recycling content.
Require Content Approvals If enabled, all new social posts will need to be approved before it can be published. More about requiring content approvals.
Override Optimal Post Time

Posts are automatically scheduled for the optimal post time, using hundreds of data points to analyze your content and your audience.

If you'd prefer to use a consistent default posting time instead, you can turn this setting on to override the optimal post time feature.

 

Watermark

You can choose to automatically add a watermark logo or icon to the images in your posts by selecting Watermark Images by Default. In this section, you can upload the image to use as your watermark, and adjust its size, transparency, and its position on images.

 

Notifications

On the Notifications tab, you can determine who receives notifications for your Social app. you can add email recipients for Weekly Account Updates, and you can alert users via email or Slack for warnings of account credentials expiring soon, alerts when posts are published, or alerts when posts have failed.

To receive notifications on Slack, you will need to paste the Webhook URL and enter the name of the Slack channel you'd like the notifications to appear in.

Conversion Tracking

If you are adding URL links in your social posts, then you may wish to create a UTM tracking link to track the performance of each social post. 

Use the dropdown menus next to each item to choose which tracking metrics to include in the URL. You can select Custom to enter in your own unique URL parameter.

 

Integrations

The Integrations tab is where all of your third-party integrations are listed. Click Add New to connect a new integration.

 

The following integrations are currently available:

Google Drive Auto-import images and videos from Google Drive.
Google Analytics 4 Include Google Analytics 4 in your monthly reports.
Facebook Ads Sync Facebook Ads data.
