2. Ensure Instagram Page is Linked to Facebook Page

Ensure that both your Instagram profile and Facebook Page are set up as business accounts, not personal profiles.

Method 1: Connecting from Facebook

  1. Log in to your personal Facebook profile associated with the business page on your computer (not the mobile app).

  2. Select Pages from the left-hand sidebar.

  3. Select the Facebook business Page you would like to connect. (If the page opens without management options, click Manage Page at the top).

  4. Click Manage in the top-right corner of the page.

  5. On the left-hand sidebar, select Linked Accounts under the Your Tools section.

  6. Ensure Instagram is selected on the left. If no account is connected, click the Connect account button.

  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to your Instagram account and complete the connection.

Note: If you see a "Review connection" message, click it and follow the steps to confirm or reconnect the accounts.

Method 2: Connecting from Instagram

  1. Log in to your Instagram account on your computer (not the mobile app).

  2. At the bottom of the left-hand sidebar, click More, then select Settings from the menu.

  3. Click to enter the Meta Accounts Center.

  4. Choose Connect a Facebook Page.

  5. Click Add accounts and select the Facebook account that owns the Facebook Business Page you want to connect to.

Your business Instagram should now be fully connected to the Facebook Business Page.

3. Give Marketing 360® Partnership Access

You can grant Partnership access to Marketing 360® by connecting through Leadsie. You can follow these steps to grant access through Leadsie.

Use this link to share your Instagram page logins: https://madpush.net/
  1. After entering your credentials, click Generate Secure MadPush Link.
  2. Copy the link and share it with your Marketing Success Manager.

5. Set up Instagram TOTP

TOTP is the most secure and modern form of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). It requires a second, temporary code for login, generated by an app every 30-60 seconds using a secret key. This method is highly resistant to hacking, unlike less secure SMS codes.

Part 1: Generating and Sharing the Secret Key for Your Manager

This part generates the code necessary for your Marketing Success Manager's system.
  1. Open the Instagram App on your mobile device.

  2. Tap Profile (your profile picture) in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Tap the Menu icon (≡) in the top-right corner.

  4. At the top, tap Accounts Center.

  5. In the Accounts Center, tap Password and security.

  6. Under "Two-Factor Authentication," tap Two-factor authentication again.

  7. Select your Business Instagram profile from the list.

  8. When asked to Choose your security method, select Authentication App.

  9. Crucial Step: Look for the option that says "Set up another way" or "Can't scan it?" or "Copy Key". Tapping this will display the long string of letters and numbers (the Secret Key).

  10. Action: Copy this key to your phone's clipboard. You will not be able to screenshot the entire key.

  11. Action: Immediately paste the copied key into a secure message (email, chat, etc.) and send it to your Marketing Success Manager.

  12. Wait for Manager Confirmation: Do not exit the Instagram app. Wait for your Manager to confirm they have added the code to their system and will provide you with a one-time, 6-digit TOTP code.

  13. Finalize Manager's Connection: Go back to the Instagram app, tap Next.

  14. Enter the 6-digit TOTP code your manager provided, and tap Next.

  15. A confirmation screen will appear ("Two-Factor Authentication is On"). Tap Done.

This step ensures you have a separate, dedicated code for your personal login.

  1. Rename Manager's Access (Optional): After completing Part 1, tap on the newly listed device under "Authentication App" and rename it (e.g., "Agency Access") for clarity.

  2. Add Your Device: On the same screen, under the "Authentication App" heading, look for Add another device (or tap Add).

  3. Scan/Copy New Key: Instagram will prompt you to set up a new connection. Use your personal authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy) to scan the new QR code or copy the new Setup Key.

  4. Confirm Your Connection: Use the new 6-digit code generated by your personal app to complete the process on Instagram.

  5. Rename Your Device (Optional): Once confirmed, you will see a second device listed. Rename this new device (e.g., "My Personal Phone").

Final Step: Remember to save the Recovery Codes provided by Instagram in a secure, non-digital location. Your Manager will confirm when the entire setup is complete.

  1. Select Instagram from the Linked Accounts page.

  2. When redirected to Facebook, confirm you're logged into the correct account and click Continue.

  3. You'll see a list of all the accounts you have access to. Click Select All when prompted to ensure you have the correct permissions. Note: this will not link every account, only grant access to publish.

  4. In the next window, make sure all toggles are set to YES, then click Done and OK.

  5. Finally, select the Instagram account(s) you want to link and click Link x Account.
