Troubleshooting: Unlinked Review Sites on Top Rated Local®

Why are Review Sites Not Linked to My Top Rated Local® Listing?

If one of your business's third-party review sites (like Facebook, Yelp, or YellowPages) is not syncing with your Top Rated Local® profile, there are a few common reasons. Resolving these issues is key to getting an accurate Rating ScoreMore information about Top Rated Local's supported sources.

Google Reviews Not UpdatingYour GMB reviews are showing but are not accurate or updating. Cause: Your GMB listing was likely detected automatically but was never formally connected through the Locations dashboard. Action: Navigate to your Location Settings dashboard to formally add and sync your Google Business Profile listing. New reviews will populate, and your Rating Score will update.

Troubleshooting All Other Listings (Facebook, Yelp, etc.)

If your other third-party review sites are not syncing, check the following:

1. The Review Site Does Not Have Any Reviews

  • Top Rated Local® only crawls and syncs review sites that contain reviews for your business.

  • Action: If you have a profile but no reviews, actively ask your customers to leave feedback on those specific third-party sites so that Top Rated Local® can pick them up.

2. Your Business Details Do Not Match (NAP Consistency)

  • Inconsistent business information prevents the system from confidently linking the third-party listing to your profile.

  • Action: Double-check that your Business Name, Address, and Phone Number (NAP) are identical on both your Top Rated Local® profile and the third-party listing you want to sync.

Example: "Bills Billiards" on Top Rated Local® and "Bill's Billiard and Bar" on Yelp may fail to sync. Consistent NAP is also vital for search engine ranking.
